FAQ
Do I need a visa to visit Bali?
It depends on your nationality and the length of stay. Most nationalities can enter with a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for short visits. Longer stays requires different visa types. You can check VoA-eligible countries on our website or browse visa options for longer stays.
Do I need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter Bali?
No, as of the latest regulations, Indonesia no longer requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination for entry. Travelers can enter Bali without needing to show a vaccine certificate or PCR test results. If you’re feeling unwell upon arrival, immigration officers or health authorities may still conduct random health screenings at the airport. For the latest travel requirements, check with official immigration sources or contact Bali Entry for assistance.
Do I need to pay a tourist tax when I enter Bali?
Yes, since February 14, 2024, all international visitors arriving in Bali must pay a tourist tax of 150,000 IDR. This tax is applicable exclusively to foreign tourists and does not affect domestic travelers. Note that the tax is specific to Bali and does not apply to other regions of Indonesia.
How will I receive my visa?
Visas are processed electronically through Indonesia’s official immigration system. Once approved, our team will send your visa via email or WhatsApp. At the airport, you can simply scan your passport at the automated e-gates or present your digital visa if required.
What happens if I overstay my visa in Bali?
Overstaying your visa results in a fine. At the time of writing the overstay fine is IDR 1,000,000 (~$65) per day. Overstays of more than 60 days may result in deportation and blacklisting.
