What is an Exit Permit for KITAS/KITAP holders?
If you hold a KITAS (temporary stay permit) or KITAP (permanent stay permit), you cannot simply leave Indonesia freely like a tourist when your stay permit is ending. You need an Exit Permit (ERP) issued by Immigration to officially record your departure.
This permit ensures:

Do I need an Exit Permit if my KITAS/KITAP is expiring soon?
Yes, you will still need an exit permit even if your KITAS/KITAP is about to expire. It ensures that your departure is on record, which will save you from getting slapped with immigration penalties.
