This visa allows you to:
- Travel to and from Indonesia.
- Conducting activities related to tourism, and visiting friends or family.
- Attending education, as long as it has been reported to Immigration (using the multiple activity reporting process).
This visa doesn’t allow you to:
- Stay in Indonesia after your visa expires.
- Sell goods or services in Indonesia.
- Working for and receiving compensation/wages from Indonesian companies or individuals.
Requirements
Passport that is valid for at least 6 (six) months.
A recent color portrait photograph of you.
Min. USD $2,000 covering the last 3 months (name, date, and balance).
Birth certificate translated to Indonesian (except if in English).
Parent’s marriage certificate or marriage book.
ID card and Family card (KK) of the Indonesian father/mother.
If you’re applying inside Indonesia you are required to submit your current visa (must still be valid for at least 30 days)

Who qualifies for an E31D visa?
The foreign stepchild of an Indonesian citizen qualifies for an E31D visa. The biological parent of the stepchild must be legally married to that Indonesian citizen. Additionally, the citizenship of the Indonesian step-parent must be officially recognized by the Indonesian government.
Can I work with an E31D visa?
No. The E31D visa doesn’t permit you to work or receive payment, wages, or income from companies or individuals in Indonesia. You also can’t offer services or sell goods.
You can study in Indonesia but should report the activity to the Ministry of Immigration.
