If you're a KITAS or KITAP holder, you can bring your dependent child to Bali with the E31E visa. Your child's visa is valid for the same duration as yours.
The E31E visa allows children of foreigners with a KITAS or a KITAP to join their parents in Indonesia. It also ensures your children can pursue their studies while living in the country. For your dependents to qualify, they must be under 18 years old and unmarried. The visa is valid as long as your stay permit is valid, usually one to two years. Golden visa holders can opt for five to 10 years. E31E is a multiple-entry visa, so you and your children can freely enter and exit Indonesia as often as you want.

This visa allows you to:
- Live and study in Indonesia.
- Travel to and from Indonesia as many times as you want.
This visa doesn’t allow you to:
- Stay in Indonesia after your visa expires.
- Sell goods or services in Indonesia.
- Working for and receiving compensation/wages from Indonesian companies or individuals.
Requirements
Passport validity
Passport that is valid for at least 6 (six) months.
Recent photograph
A recent color portrait photograph of you.
Personal bank statement
Min. USD $2,000 covering the last 3 months (name, date, and balance).
Birth Certificate
Birth certificate translated to Indonesian (except if in English).
Parent’s marriage certificate
Marriage certificate translated to Indonesian (except if in English).
Parent’s Visa
Valid Stay Permit (ITAS)/Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP) of the parents.
Parent’s Passport
A color scan of the parent’s passport.
If you’re applying inside Indonesia you are required to submit your current visa (must still be valid for at least 30 days)
If the child is above 18 years old you must submit proof of medical condition or proof of guardianship translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator.

Are there exemptions to the E31E visa’s age limit of 18?
Yes. The E31E visa waives the age limit for dependents with a disability or health condition. To qualify for the exemption, you should present proof of medical condition or proof of guardianship. It must be in English or translated into Bahasa Indonesia by a sworn translator.
Please note that this exemption only applies to visa holders with a five-year or ten-year permanent residency in Indonesia.
