An E31H visa gives foreign parents the opportunity to reunite with their foreign children in Bali or other parts of Indonesia. The child must be either a KITAS or KITAP holder.
The E31H visa is a type of Family Dependent Visa that allows foreign parents of foreign nationals with a limited stay permit (KITAS) or a permanent stay permit (KITAP) to live with them in Indonesia. The visa’s validity period is the same as the sponsor’s stay permit. It can range from one and two years to five and 10 years, depending on the child’s KITAS or KITAP. With the E31H visa, the parent can live legally, study, and enjoy tourist activities in Indonesia. However, they can’t seek employment or run a business.

This visa allows you to:
- Live and study in Indonesia.
- Travel to and from Indonesia as many times as you want.
This visa doesn’t allow you to:
- Stay in Indonesia after your visa expires.
- Sell goods or services in Indonesia.
- Working for and receiving compensation/wages from Indonesian companies or individuals.
Requirements
Passport validity
Passport that is valid for at least 6 (six) months.
Recent photograph
A recent color portrait photograph of you.
Personal bank statement
Min. USD $2,000 covering the last 3 months (name, date, and balance).
Child’s Birth Certificate
Child’s birth certificate translated to Indonesian (except if in English).
Child’s Visa
Valid Stay Permit (ITAS)/Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP) of the child.
Child’s Passport
A full color scan of the child’s passport.
Child’s Marriage Certificate
Required if the child’s last name differs from applicant’s.
If you’re applying inside Indonesia you are required to submit your current visa (must still be valid for at least 30 days)

What are the benefits of an E31H visa?
The E31H visa lets you live in Indonesia with your family for the entire duration of its validity. You can engage in leisure activities, get in and out of the country as often as you want, and even study with the approval of the Immigration Office.
