FAQ
Can I work in Bali with a Retirement KITAP?
No, you can’t work in Bali if you have a Retirement KITAP. It strictly forbids working or being involved in any kind of business. You can, however, invest in businesses as a shareholder, rent land as long as you follow Indonesian law, and do volunteer work for free if you get permission to do so.
What are the financial requirements for a Retirement KITAP?
To qualify for the Retirement KITAP, you have to show that you can afford to stay in Indonesia without working. Usually, this means having a salary or a minimum monthly income of about USD 1,500 to USD 3,000. You also need to have health and life insurance for the whole time you are there. Plus, you need to show proof of a long-term place to live, like a rental agreement.
